In Egyptian mythology, Wadjet is the goddess keeper of the Lower Egypt.

In her role as the pharaoh's keeper, she is associated to the vulture goddess Nekhbet symbol of the Upper Egypt. They form together the symbol of the two lands (north and south) reunited in the name of Pharaoh. There were both present on the king's diadem. On temples and tumbs walls, she appeared on the shape of a woman wearing the red crown from Lower Egypt.
